Kindergarten enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is open. Students must be at least 5 years old by August 31, 2021, to enroll in Kindergarten.
Enrollment is a multi-step process that begins in March. During March, parents/guardians should complete step 1. Step 2 in the process will occur during the week of August 2, 2021 by appointment. Parents/guardians should register for these screenings when dropping off enrollment materials at the school.
Step 1: Enrollment
- Complete the online enrollment application.
- Links to online enrollment for all NEW Kindergarten students:
- Links to online enrollment for all who are currently enrolled in Pre-K in Wilkes County Schools during the 2020-2021 school year are below. You will need a "snap code."
- Fill out the Bus Ridership form.
- Participate in virtual orientation.
- Drop off enrollment materials at C. C. Wright Elementary during March. Enrollment materials are below.
- Photo ID of parent/guardian
- Certified birth certificate
- Proof of residence
- Proof of guardianship (if applicable)
- Immunization record
- Health assessment
Step 2: Screening
- Attend Kindergarten Fun Times and Readiness Screenings. These will be held at C. C. Wright during the week of August 2, 2021. Parents/guardians should register for these screenings when dropping off enrollment materials at the school.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines.
