Meet the Art Teacher! 
Hi! My name is Bethany Mayes and I am honored to be the art teacher at C.C. Wright Elementary! I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Art Education at UNC Charlotte. I am certified to teach art K-12 in NC. This is my first year teaching art and I am so proud to be a C.C. Wright Tiger!!
I am from Taylorsville, where I reside with my husband, son, and dog. I have a true passion for working with students and helping build their self-confidence in the arts. I enjoy experiencing those "light bulb" moments students have when they figure something out and truly take pride in their artwork. After all, the arts help students progress in all areas of their development including academic, social, emotional, and motor.
I look forward to this school year and watching each student thrive in their artistic endeavors.
